Russian beer exports to Uzbekistan quadruple and exceed full-year 2025 shipments
Russia exported more than 4,000 tonnes of beer worth over $3 million to Uzbekistan in the first half of 2026. Shipments quadrupled year on year, while export revenue increased 4.3-fold and already surpassed the total for all of 2025.
First-half shipments exceed the 2025 total
Russian beer exports to Uzbekistan rose sharply in the first half of 2026, exceeding 4,000 tonnes with a value of more than $3 million. Physical shipments were four times higher than in the same period of 2025, while export revenue increased 4.3-fold, according to figures reported by Rambler Finance and Lenta.ru.
The six-month result has already exceeded Russia’s beer exports to Uzbekistan for the whole of 2025. Russian suppliers shipped just over 1,000 tonnes to the Uzbek market last year, worth approximately $700,000. The latest figures therefore point to an acceleration in both shipment volume and sales value rather than a comparison distorted solely by product prices.
Three brewing regions lead supplies
Most of the beer was dispatched from breweries in Russia’s Samara, Moscow and Tula regions, Rambler Finance reported. Their role indicates that the increase is being supported by established brewing centres with access to the production volumes and logistics needed to serve a growing regional market.
The available data do not identify individual producers, beer categories or delivery routes. They also do not show whether the increase reflects new distribution agreements, higher sales by existing suppliers or inventory building by Uzbek buyers. Nevertheless, exceeding a full year’s shipments within six months gives Russian breweries and distributors a substantially larger commercial presence in Uzbekistan.
Exports grow as Russian output declines
The export expansion contrasts with a modest contraction in Russian beer production. Russia produced 459 million decalitres in the first half of 2026, down 2.4% from the same period a year earlier, according to statistics cited by Rambler Finance. June production reached 90.7 million decalitres, an increase of 2.6% from May.
Uzbekistan is not the only significant regional buyer of Russian beer. Lenta.ru reported that the value of Russian beer exports to Kazakhstan reached a three-year high in 2025 after increasing by 36% over 12 months. That growth made Russia Kazakhstan’s largest beer supplier.
For Russian brewers, rising sales in Uzbekistan provide an export outlet at a time when total domestic production is below its year-earlier level. For Uzbek importers and distributors, the fourfold increase means a larger flow of Russian products and potentially stronger competition among suppliers. The next test will be whether shipments remain elevated in the second half of 2026 after the first six months already surpassed the full-year 2025 result.
