However, in 2023 the market contracted sharply to 28.3 thousand m³, a decrease of 56% from the previous year.

In 2024, the market volume rebounded to 38.8 thousand m³, a 37% increase. This growth coincided with the launch of VMG Lignum Construction's new laminated veneer lumber facility in Akmenė, which added substantial production capacity aimed at European and global markets. Additionally, the European veneer sheet market saw a broader recovery in demand driven by residential construction and renovation activities, supporting consumption in Lithuania.
