The successful deployment and 100‑day operational milestone of the Air Force's first Lanza 3D‑LRR radar unit in 2021 demonstrated the readiness of national technology, coinciding with a production peak of $248.9 million that year. By 2022, regulatory shifts from Spain's DGT—which tightened speed tolerances for fixed radars and increased penalties for radar detector use—stimulated demand for speed enforcement equipment. This helped sustain high import levels at $128.5 million, although total market size eased to $214.5 million after the previous year's surge.

From 2023 through 2024, regulatory momentum continued to shape the market. The DGT rolled out 106 new speed radars and expanded its fixed and section‑based radar network, increasing enforcement density. The confirmed mandate for radar sensors in new vehicles from July 2024 anticipated higher demand for automotive radar components. In 2024, a new ministerial order further reduced speed tolerances and planned the installation of 88 section radars and 160 fixed units over three years, while the DGT's plan to add 454 radars (a 15 % increase) amplified public investment, coinciding with imports climbing to $148.8 million.

The most dramatic drop occurred in 2018, when exports fell by 55.4%. Overall, between the peak in 2017 and the trough in 2018, there was a 2.2-fold variation in export volumes.

In 2020, exports continued to grow, reaching $102.6 million, a 9.9% year-over-year rise. However, over the entire 2017-2020 period, exports decreased by 13.6%, averaging an annual decline of 4.7%.
