The Czech market for polyurethanes in primary forms, measured in physical volume, showed varied trends from 2018 to 2022. Market volume rose to 46 700 tons in 2019, fell to 38 100 tons in 2021, and then jumped to 60 600 tons in 2022. The 2022 peak coincided with a substantial increase in import volumes, while domestic production grew moderately and exports remained subdued.

In value terms, the market declined from 215 million USD in 2018 to 192 million USD in 2021, then recovered to 212 million USD in 2022. The market value in 2022 remained below the 2018 level despite a higher physical volume, indicating a lower average value per ton.
