A strong recovery followed in 2021, with the market growing 27.0% to 237.3 thousand tons. Growth slowed to 1.8% in 2022, reaching 241.6 thousand tons. However, in 2023 the market declined by 13.7% to 208.6 thousand tons, a drop that coincided with a 16% year-on-year increase in fresh vegetable prices, which likely dampened consumer demand for peas.
