The market for non-reinforced, non-laminated non-cellular PVC sheets in Finland saw a steep decline in volume from 4 207 t in 2018 to 1 907 t in 2024. This overall reduction of more than half was marked by a particularly sharp contraction in 2021, when consumption fell to 2 239 t.

A brief rebound to 2 490 t occurred in 2022, but the downward trend resumed in the subsequent years. In value terms, the market followed a similar path, decreasing from 16 209 thousand USD to 10 725 thousand USD over the period, with a temporary stabilization in 2022 and 2023.

Domestic production collapsed from 1 178 t to 157 t during these seven years, significantly reducing local supply. Imports, while also falling from 3 378 t to 1 831 t, remained the dominant source of material for the Finnish market.
