However, new EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) traceability requirements for natural rubber increased supply chain complexity and contributed to a drop to 6 835 t in 2023. The decline continued to 4 721 t in 2024 as updated technical standards for gas installations (UNE 60670-2014) took effect and the EUDR continued to constrain imports.
