The Cambodian market for non-coniferous roundwood saw a consistent downward trend in volume from 2018 through 2023. Total market supply contracted each year, starting at 7 701 thousand cubic meters and falling to 7 094 thousand cubic meters by the end of the period.

Domestic production mirrored this decline, decreasing steadily from 7 677 to 7 079 thousand cubic meters. Import volumes provided some offset initially, rising to a high of 97 thousand cubic meters in 2022, but a sharp reduction to 14 thousand cubic meters in 2023 contributed to the overall market shrinkage in that year.

China accounted for 38.6% of imports in volume, Uruguay for 25.1%, and the United States for 16.1%. Combined, these three countries represented 79.7% of total import flows.
