The market stabilized and began to recover in 2023, reaching 1 160 million m³. This turnaround was supported by ANWIL (Grupa ORLEN) commissioning a third major fertilizer plant and expanding its production capacity by 50%, which boosted domestic output and reduced import reliance.

Growth accelerated in 2024, with the market volume climbing to 1 257 million m³. This expansion was driven by state policies promoting nitrogen fertilizer production, the entry of new players with innovative solutions, and stabilized global nitrogen supply following earlier disruptions.
