The mineral wool market in Czechia showed considerable volatility from 2018 to 2024. Production trends closely mirrored the overall market movement, dropping from 224 thousand tons in 2018 to a low of 132 thousand tons in 2020. It then recovered to 192 thousand tons in 2022 before decreasing to 158 thousand tons by 2024. Imports and exports also fluctuated, with imports reaching a high of 89 thousand tons in 2022, while exports remained relatively stable, mostly ranging between 52 and 59 thousand tons throughout the period.

In value terms, the market followed a similar pattern, declining from $216 million in 2018 to $112 million in 2020. It then rebounded to $178 million in 2022, before settling at $174 million in 2024, indicating some price resilience despite the reductions in physical volume.
