The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 severely disrupted the production of magnesium hydroxide and peroxide in Germany, leading to a 16% drop in market volume to 12 355 t. Lockdowns and restrictions forced closures of production units, constraining raw material availability and cutting domestic output by nearly half.
