Production knitted shawls and scarves in Poland

Poland's production of knitted shawls and scarves declined after two years of growth. In 2019, output reached its peak at 3 152 K $ US, but then fell by 19.7% in 2020 to 2 530 K $ US. The largest annual increase occurred in 2019 at 20.5%. Over the 2017-2020 period, production grew by 14.7%, with an average annual growth rate of 4.7%.

Poland's exports of knitted shawls and scarves in volume terms declined for the second year in a row. In 2018, exports peaked at 757 t, with the largest annual increase that year at 41.2%. From 2017 to 2020, Germany, Czechia, and Romania were the top destinations for Poland's knitted shawls and scarves exports by volume. Germany accounted for 30.7% of exports, Czechia for 10.1%, and Romania for 9.8%. Together, these three countries represented 50.6% of total export flows.
