The market for iron or steel household articles in Croatia expanded substantially between 2018 and 2024. In physical terms, market volume increased from 4 936 tons to 6 830 tons, a growth of over 38%. In value terms, the market rose from $34.1 million to nearly $49.9 million, an increase of 46%.

This growth was not uniform across the period. Market value experienced a notable contraction in 2020, dropping to $32.7 million, before surging by 23% the following year to exceed $40 million. Physical volume, on the other hand, showed more consistent growth after a slight dip in 2022, culminating in a strong 18% increase in 2024.

The expansion of the Croatian market was supported by rising imports, which grew from 4 743 tons in 2018 to 6 098 tons in 2024. Domestic production also increased over the period, from 927 tons to 1 447 tons, although it remained a smaller component of total supply.
