Over the period from 2017 to 2020, production rose by 5.1%, which translates to an average annual growth rate of 1.7%.

After two years of decline, Eastern Asia's globe artichoke production value rebounded. In 2020, the output was valued at 233.9 million US dollars, showing a significant 28.8% increase compared to 2019. From 2017 to 2020, production value grew by 24.9%, with an average annual rate of 7.7%. The lowest value was recorded in 2019 at 181.6 million US dollars, which also saw the largest decline of 2.7%.

The highest volume was recorded in 2019 at 23 717 kg, which also saw the largest increase of 13.4%.
