After the 2021 peak, the market volume contracted, falling to 110.5 thousand tons in 2023 before a slight recovery to 114.4 thousand tons in 2024. This period was marked by declining average import prices and a shift in Poland's role, as the country emerged as a major European exporter of furniture fittings. The increased export orientation influenced the balance between domestic supply and international sales, contributing to the reduced market volume in the post-2021 years.

Following two years of growth, Poland's furniture fittings exports declined. In 2020, export volume totaled 60.7 thousand tonnes, showing a sharp 17.8% decrease compared to the previous year. The peak was reached in 2019 at 73.8 thousand tonnes, while the largest annual increase occurred in 2018 at 47.9%.

From 2017 to 2020, Germany, Portugal, and Romania were notable but not dominant buyers of Polish furniture fittings in volume terms. Germany accounted for 11.6% of exports, Portugal for 10.9%, and Romania for 9.9%. Together, these three countries represented just 32.4% of total export volume.

The highest value was recorded in 2018 at 337.4 million US dollars, which also saw the largest annual increase of 52.1%.
