Earlier Report Observations

The frozen vegetables market in the Americas experienced a contraction from 2 661 thousand tons in 2018 to 2 094 thousand tons in 2020, with a particularly sharp decline in 2020. A recovery began in 2021, lifting the market volume to 2 302 thousand tons.

Market volume stabilized at 2 288 thousand tons in 2022, supported by two key developments. Online sales of frozen foods in the U.S. expanded significantly, rising from 0.9% of sales in 2019 to 2.9% in 2022, which improved product accessibility and stimulated demand. At the same time, sustained consumer preference for convenient and healthy food options underpinned steady consumption of frozen vegetables.

The market continued its recovery in 2023, growing to 2 373 thousand tons, as the demand drivers established in the previous period remained influential.
