Export volumes reached their lowest point in 2019 at 45 t, then climbed to their peak in 2017, representing a 39-fold difference between these years. After increasing for two years, cross-border shipments of edible brassicas to ECOWAS declined. Imports peaked in 2019 at 1 330 t, then fell to 1 301 t in 2020, a decrease of 2.2% year-over-year. Over the period from 2017 to 2020, imports grew by 20.8%, with a compound annual growth rate of 6.5%. The largest increase was recorded in 2019, at 15.5%.

From 2017 to 2020, Portugal (5.3% of imports in kind), France (3.8%), and Morocco (3.3%) were among the largest suppliers of edible brassicas to ECOWAS. However, even combined, they represented only 12.3% of total imports in kind, indicating a broadly diversified partner base.

Following a two-year advance, edible brassicas deliveries to ECOWAS declined.
