Malawi's dried shelled lentil production grew for the second year in a row. In 2020, the country produced 1,297 tonnes, marking a 25.4% increase from the previous year. Over the 2017-2020 period, production rose by 29.3%, with an average annual growth rate of 8.9%. The lowest output was recorded in 2018 at 838 tonnes, which also saw the largest decline of 16.5%.
