The market for double or complex silicates in Spain, measured in value, saw notable fluctuations between 2021 and 2024. After reaching 21.5 million dollars in 2021, the market expanded by over 7% to 23 million dollars in 2022. This growth reversed in the following two years, with the market size declining to 20.9 million dollars in 2023 and then contracting sharply by more than half to just under 9 million dollars in 2024.

The production of these silicates followed a similar volatile pattern, rising to 36.2 million dollars in 2022 before falling to 31 million dollars in 2023 and 23.3 million dollars in 2024. Over the same period, import values demonstrated steady growth, increasing from 3.4 million dollars in 2021 to 4.6 million dollars in 2024, while export values were more volatile but showed an overall upward trend from 2021 onwards.

Looking at the period from 2017 to 2020, exports rose by 22.6%, with an average annual growth rate of 7.0%.

Between 2017 and 2020, Spain's exports of double or complex silicates were not heavily concentrated on just a few markets. Italy accounted for 13.9% of the volume, Germany for 11.4%, and Israel for 8.9%. Together, these three countries made up only 34.1% of total exports.
