Market value followed a similar upward trend, rising from 92.2 million $ US in 2018 to 144.7 million $ US in 2022, despite a temporary dip in 2020.

This expansion was primarily fueled by a surge in imports, which more than doubled from 3 964 tons in 2018 to 7 183 tons in 2021. Domestic production also increased during this period, reaching 4 378 tons in 2022, though it remained below import levels.

After 2022, the market contracted in both volume and value, falling to 5 937 tons and 103.7 million $ US by 2024. This decline coincided with reduced import volumes, which dropped to 4 722 tons in 2024, and a decrease in domestic production to 3 424 tons.
