Earlier Report Observations
Production of cereal germ in the Solomon Islands showed a mixed trajectory from 2018 to 2023. After starting at 589 tons in 2018, output gradually softened, falling to 580 tons in 2019 and then to 559 tons in 2020.
A decisive turnaround began in 2021, when production rebounded to 647 tons. This expansion accelerated the following year, reaching 775 tons in 2022, and continued with a further rise to 819 tons in 2023. Over the three-year growth phase from 2020 to 2023, annual output increased by more than 260 tons, or over 40%.
