In 2023, volume dropped sharply to 41.9 thousand t, though the trend favoring PUR and PIR boards for insulation continued, and new consumer protection legislation affecting online sales and warranties came into effect in January. By 2024, market volume edged down further to 40.8 thousand t.

The lowest point was in 2020, with production valued at 121.3 million US dollars, while the steepest drop occurred in 2019, at 36.3%.

In 2021, the country produced 36 327 tonnes, showing a solid 20.0% improvement over the previous year. From 2018 to 2021, overall production increased by 17.6%, averaging an annual growth rate of 5.5%. The lowest volume was recorded in 2019 at 28 087 tonnes, which also saw the largest decline of 9.1%.
