Thailand's production of castor oil and fractions grew for the second year in a row in 2020, reaching 5 700 tonnes—a 5.6% increase compared to the previous year. However, over the 2017–2020 period, overall production fell by 16.2%, averaging an annual decline of 5.7%. The lowest production level was in 2018 at 4 900 tonnes, which also saw the sharpest drop of 27.9%. In contrast, 2019 recorded the largest increase at 10.2%.
