In contrast, the largest increase of 16.6% was observed in 2020.

After two years of growth, Denmark's exports of builders' wares made from plastics declined in 2021. The export volume was recorded at 15,187 tonnes, showing a notable reduction of 16.4% compared to the previous year. Over the 2018-2021 period, exports decreased by 10%, with a compound annual growth rate of -3.5%. The highest export volume was in 2020 at 18,170 tonnes, which also saw the largest increase of 5.0% that year.

From 2018 to 2021, Denmark's exports of builders' wares made from plastics were not heavily concentrated. Germany accounted for 19.9% of exports by volume, the United Kingdom for 15.3%, and Sweden for 9.7%. Together, these three countries captured only 45.0% of total export flows.
