In 2018, state-influenced Seychelles Breweries Ltd launched SeyBrew Lite, a new low-calorie beer, and introduced a specialty draft beer glass, enhancing product appeal. This innovation coincided with a high market volume of 12 349 thousand liters, supported by substantial imports of 6 698 thousand liters. Production reached 5 651 thousand liters that year. In 2019, production grew to 6 032 thousand liters, but market volume fell to 8 722 thousand liters due to a sharp drop in imports to 2 690 thousand liters.

From 2020 to 2022, import volumes remained low, with only 173 thousand liters in 2020, keeping market volume subdued at 5 461 thousand liters. Production declined to 5 307 thousand liters in 2020 but recovered to 5 446 thousand liters in 2021 and 5 987 thousand liters in 2022, as market volume gradually increased to 6 402 thousand liters by 2022.

In 2023, market volume surged to 9 599 thousand liters, driven by a rebound in imports to 3 481 thousand liters and production growth to 6 118 thousand liters.
