Industry-wide reductions take effect in July

Vietnam’s animal feed market entered July 2026 with broad price reductions after a volatile first half of the year. Dan Viet reported that leading producers including C.P. Vietnam, De Heus, ANT, Haid, Greenfeed, Japfa, Dabaco, Tongwei and BGF lowered selling prices, with a reduction of VND200 per kg common across the market. The measures reduce a major input cost for pig, poultry, cattle and aquaculture producers.

BGF cut prices for all product lines by VND200 per kg from July 1 at its BIGRFEED facilities in Hung Yen, Binh Dinh and Vinh Long. C.P. Vietnam followed on July 8, reducing layer feed by VND160 per kg and other feed by VND200 per kg for most customers, excluding Vinamilk. Greenfeed offered direct discounts from July 7 through July 11: VND200 per kg for pig feed, meat-poultry feed and cattle feed, and VND160 per kg for layer feed.

Japfa Comfeed Vietnam introduced reductions from July 13 until further notice. Pig and meat-poultry feed fell by VND180 per kg, while layer, quail and cattle feed declined by VND160 per kg. At Dabaco–Kinh Bac, prices were lowered from July 11 by VND160 per kg for compound feed used for layers, laying ducks, quail and replacement birds; concentrates and other livestock and poultry compound feeds were cut by up to VND200 per kg.

Support varies by species and product

Anco and Proconco launched a support package running from July 1 to July 31. Discounts reached VND400 per kg for products coded 20 50s and C225A chicken feed. Products 20 50, 16L, 26L and 20s+, as well as P221, P222, P223 and C225B chicken feeds, received support of VND200 per kg.

ANT reduced all pig and meat-animal feed products by VND200 per kg from July 9, including feed for broilers, meat ducks, birds, cattle and goats. Its layer, replacement-bird, laying-duck and quail products fell by VND160 per kg. Haid Hai Duong applied smaller, differentiated cuts from July 11: VND100 per kg for sow feed, VND160 for other pig and meat-duck feed, VND120 for broiler feed, and VND80 for layer and laying-duck feed.

Tongwei Hoa Binh cut pig feed by VND200 per kg from July 13, except products 200, 210, 6610, 218 and 6618. All broiler feed also fell by VND200 per kg, while meat-duck feed declined by VND160 and laying-duck feed by VND100 per kg.

Regional producers deepen selected discounts

Regional and joint-venture manufacturers joined the reductions. VinaFeed Northern cut its specialized product 440 by VND800 per kg and all remaining feed by VND200 per kg from July 2 for customers collecting directly from its system. APPE JV Vietnam reduced layer and replacement-bird feed by VND140 per kg from July 7, while its other products, including aquaculture feed, fell by VND200 per kg.

Viet Nhat Group’s northern branch lowered finisher-pig feed by VND200 per kg from July 13, excluding concentrates, and cut meat- and layer-poultry feed by VND150 per kg; fish feed was excluded. CNC International Nutrition reduced all products by VND200 per kg from July 2. The breadth of the adjustments signals stronger price competition among suppliers and gives farmers some immediate relief, although the effect on individual operations will depend on species, feed formulation and eligible product codes.
