Moscow Region Pasta Exports Top 15,000 Tonnes as Shipment Value Rises 12%
Moscow Region producers exported more than 15,000 tonnes of pasta in the first seven months of 2026. Shipment value rose 12% year on year, with Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan among the largest buyers.
Exports exceed 15,000 tonnes
Pasta producers in the Moscow Region exported more than 15,000 tonnes of finished products during the first seven months of 2026, according to Regions.ru, citing the official channel of the regional Ministry of Agriculture and Food. The value of these shipments increased by 12% compared with the same period of 2025.
The disclosed data indicate growth in export revenue but do not provide the corresponding change in physical volume or the total value of shipments. It is therefore not possible to determine from the available figures whether the increase came primarily from larger quantities, higher average prices, a change in the product mix or a combination of these factors.
CIS markets lead demand
Countries in the Commonwealth of Independent States accounted for the main demand for pasta produced in the Moscow Region. Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan were identified as the largest buyers, while the regional authorities said the geographical reach of shipments continued to expand.
The concentration of leading destinations in the CIS gives producers access to markets with established commercial ties and relatively familiar consumer preferences. For exporters, further geographical expansion could diversify sales beyond the named destinations, although the source did not identify new markets, shipment volumes by country or individual company export results.
The export performance is relevant to flour processors, packaging suppliers and logistics providers as well as pasta manufacturers. Growth in shipment value can support demand across this chain, but the absence of destination-level volumes and prices limits comparisons between markets. Importers and distributors will also need to assess products by format, positioning and delivery economics rather than relying on the regional aggregate alone.
Region supplies one-fifth of Russian output
The Moscow Region produced more than 145,000 tonnes of pasta and similar flour-based products in the first six months of 2026. It accounted for 20.3% of total Russian production and 49.5% of output in the Central Federal District, according to the figures reported by Regions.ru.
That placed the region first by production volume in the Central Federal District and second across Russia. The figures show that almost half of the district’s output is concentrated in the Moscow Region, giving its manufacturers a significant role in supplying both domestic channels and foreign customers.
The production period covers six months, while the export figure covers seven months, so the two totals are not directly comparable. The source also groups pasta with similar flour products in its production data, whereas the export statement refers to pasta products. A precise export share of regional output cannot therefore be calculated from the published information.
Large manufacturers underpin capacity
Major pasta producers operating in the region include Doshirak Koya, Mareven Food Central, Barilla Rus and Baisad Kashira. Regions.ru did not disclose their individual production capacities, export volumes or shares of the regional total.
The combination of more than 145,000 tonnes of six-month production and exports above 15,000 tonnes over seven months establishes the Moscow Region as a substantial pasta manufacturing base. For producers, the 12% rise in shipment value offers evidence of stronger foreign sales in monetary terms. For traders and importers, the next indicators will be whether the destination list broadens and whether export volumes, prices and product mix support continued value growth.
