Brisa Exported 4.7 Million Lassa Tires to 84 Countries in 2025

Turkish manufacturer Brisa sold 4.7 million Lassa tires in export markets in 2025 and shipped 34 percent of the output of its İzmit and Aksaray plants abroad. The brand now reaches 84 countries and holds market leadership in Morocco, Egypt, Moldova, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

Brisa Exported 4.7 Million Lassa Tires to 84 Countries in 2025

Brisa sold 4.7 million Lassa tires in export markets in 2025 and sent 34 percent of the output of its two Turkish plants abroad, according to company figures reported by timeturk.com. The brand, developed and manufactured in Türkiye, is now shipped to 84 countries and has moved into first place in five of them.

Volumes, plants and export share

Lassa tires are produced at Brisa's İzmit and Aksaray facilities. Company data cited by timeturk.com put the export share of combined output from the two plants at 34 percent, with 4.7 million units sold across foreign markets over the course of the year.

The Aksaray plant, which came on stream in 2018, has become one of the main production centers behind that export performance. Roughly 1.5 million tires manufactured there in 2025 were shipped to 49 different countries — well over half the country list the brand serves overall.

Brisa General Manager Vecih Yılmaz said the company is aiming for durable positions in the markets it enters rather than simply raising the number of destinations. "In 2025 we sold 4.7 million Lassa tires in export markets. We send 34 percent of the tires we produce at our İzmit and Aksaray plants to export markets," Yılmaz said.

Market positions by region

North Africa, Central Asia and Eastern Europe stand out in Lassa's export growth. The brand has reached market leadership in Morocco, Egypt, Moldova, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, and says it holds a strong market share in:

  • Ukraine
  • Bulgaria
  • Serbia
  • Libya
  • Iraq
  • Tunisia

In Europe, Germany, Italy, Croatia, Romania and Montenegro were listed among the markets where Lassa has recorded its fastest growth. Those five are established replacement-tire markets with dense distribution networks, which makes them a different commercial proposition from the North African and Central Asian markets where the brand already leads.

Distribution network and retail investment

Lassa is sold through more than 6,000 sales points worldwide and operates with more than 250 branded stores. Over the past three years the brand opened its first outlets in Singapore, Kazakhstan and Moldova, and increased its retail investment in Egypt. The gap between 6,000 sales points and 250 branded stores indicates that most volume still moves through independent dealers rather than through company-signed retail.

Brisa, which has more than 40 years of export history, said it intends to hold Lassa's existing leadership positions while accelerating growth in Europe, Central Asia and North Africa. The retail openings in Singapore and Kazakhstan extend the brand beyond the regional cluster that currently generates its leadership positions.

Implied output and exporter ranking

The two figures disclosed by the company imply a production base. If the 4.7 million export units correspond to the stated 34 percent export share, combined İzmit and Aksaray output works out at roughly 13.8 million tires, with Aksaray's approximately 1.5 million units accounting for a limited share of that total. Spread across 84 destinations, the export volume averages about 56,000 units per country, which points to heavy concentration in the leading markets rather than an even distribution.

Brisa reported that it was the only tire company to place in the top 100 of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) study "Turkey's Top 1000 Exporters 2025". Tire manufacturing is one of the more capital-intensive segments of Turkish industry, and the ranking places Brisa among the country's largest exporters by value across all sectors, not only within rubber products.
